LIMONE SKYRUNNING EXTREME 2019

There were 419 athletes at the start.....

The world series finale, the Limone Skyrunning Extreme, which took place in the pouring rain in the new 20km formula with a 1,800 climb, was won by Slovenian Luka Kovacic, who was also victorious in the Friday night Vertical event, and by Rwandan athlete Primitive Niyirora.  The first crossed the line at 2h21’23”, while the second came in at 2h54’15”. There were 419 athletes at the start of this second event that was even tougher and more insidious due to the rain and particularly slippery surface. Also arriving on the podium in the men’s event was Johannes Klein from Germany (2h24’32”) and the talented Tiziano Moia (2h24’54”).  Stephanie Jimenez (2h58’41”) and Ilaria Veronese (3h03’21”) completed the top three spots.
