Urban Zemmer & Laura Orgue did win race & title with record ...

Entertainment in Limone sul Garda for the first final of the Skyrunner ® World Series. Up for grabs the titles in 2013 of Vertical Kilometer on a technical track, alpinistic and muscular in just over 3km of development proposed an elevation gain of almost 1100m. All in the unusual version "by night" with front light lit and a large public with the nose of the uncertain pending verdict. 



It had to be the battle and so it was with the king of the vertical Urban Zemmer committed to the end in keeping behind the Norwegian Thorbjorn Ludvigsen. The two have been close to the end, but the winner was the South Tyrolean, star of the La Sportiva team, who won the race with a new record. Second place for the standard bearer of Team Salomon and the lowest step of the podium for the other athlete from La Sportiva, Marco Moletto.  In the women's positions outlined immediately with the Catalan Laura Orgue (Team Salomon Santiveri) and as Zemmer she won race and the world title in record time. Behind her the blue mountain running star Antonella Confortola (Forestry Rome) and Samantha Galassi (Recastello Roots).  In light of today's results, in the ranking in the Cup 2013 are the kings of the Vertical Urban Zemmer and Laura Orgue ', the silver medal around the necks of Mark Facchinelli and Vanesa Ortega, while the bronze went to Marco Moletto and Tessa Hill. 



Placed on file the Vertical Kilometer, on Sunday in  Limone sul Garda and the district of Ledro and Riva great protagonists will return with the second final. The title for the specialty SkyRace will once again serving the world's specialties and many amateurs (already over 400 athletes until now accredited) on 23.5 kilometers of SkyRace. For grabs is not only the world title in 2013, but the awareness of being the world's number one.
